More Wise Quotes From Spiritual Women

I hope that you enjoy and learn from Joni Eareckson Tada and Amy Carmichael today, when you read more wise quotes from spiritual women!

Joni is paralyzed from the neck down from a diving accident in the 1960’s when she had when she was young. She struggled to understand for years, why this happened, why God allowed this in her life. Many books that she wrote, explain and encourage so many who are in difficult circumstances as well, especially physical disabilities. She has certainly encouraged me as I didn’t understand for years, why I have epilepsy. I know that God can use us greatly to help others in many circumstances. He used Joni to challenge me to find how God can use me in the circumstances I am in. This is one of the main reasons why I write.

The other author, (spiritual woman), that I used for quotes today is Amy Carmichael She was a missionary in India for many years. I heard her story when I was a young child, around the same time that I accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Also, I was challenged to be a missionary as a result.

I didn’t go permanently to another country to witness to others about Christ, but I was challenged to speak to others of the good news about Christ. His death on the cross, His burial and resurrection, through believing personally brings the opportunity for many to have eternal life, a personal relationship with Christ. My husband and I have supported missionaries and churches over the years. I now write and many people throughout the world are able to read my material. I hope that this encourages others to accept Christ also and reach others around the world.

Joni Eareckson Tada’s Quotes

Heartache forces us to embrace God out of desperate, urgent need. God is never closer than when your heart is aching.

Joni Eareckson Tada

What an encouragement to realize that God has reserved you and me for a special task in His great work. In His hands, we’re not only useful, but priceless.

Joni Eareckson Tada

Faith isn’t the ability to believe long and far into the misty future. It’s simply taking God at His Word and taking the next step.

Joni Eareckson Tada

Maybe the truly handicapped people are the ones that don’t need God as much.

Joni Eareckson Tada

One of the most wonderful things about knowing God is that there’s always so much more to know, so much more to discover. Just when we least expect it, He intrudes into our neat and tidy notions about who He is and how He works.

Bonus Quote By Joni:

There is nothing that moves a loving father’s soul quite like His child’s cry.

Joni Eareckson Tada

I love this quote by Joni as I know that my Heavenly Father hears my cry! He knows my every need! I know that He hurts when I hurt!

Amy Carmichael’s Quotes

If the praise of others elates me and their blame depresses me; If I cannot rest under misunderstanding without defending myself, If I love to be loved more than to love, to be served more than serve, then I know nothing of Calvary love.

Amy Carmichael

Satan is so much more in earnest than we are- he buys up the opportunity while we are wondering how much it will cost.

Amy Carmichael

We have all eternity to celebrate the victories but only a few hours before sunset to win them.

Sometimes when we read the words of those who have been more than conquerors, we feel almost despondent. I feel that I shall never be like that. But they won through step by step, by little bits of wills, little denials of self, little inward victories, by faithfulness in very little things. They became what they are. No one sees these little hidden steps. They only see the accomplishment, but even so, those small steps were taken. There is no sudden triumph, no spiritual maturity. That is the work of the moment.

Amy Carmichael

One can give without loving, but one cannot love without giving.

Amy Carmichael
